I haven't updated in a while.  I have been very busy with work and Family goings on.  Jim has switch some of his medications to try to regulate some moods and get off of some of the pain medications to try new ones that will help with his pain and moods.  The doctors say that changing pain meds is important because the body tends to get used to one and stop working, so here we go.  The withdrawals are difficult, but nothing we can't handle together with the loving support of our family and children.  His mental health doctors are wonderful and have helped out tremendously with that aspect of his illness.  God is good.

The doggies are great.  As you can see our baby girl Dakota is getting big.  The other dogs are beginning to realize tht she is going to be bigger than them and i think even Kenzie is getting a litte intimidated, but they all love eachother so much.  They cuddle together to sleep, it is so precious.  They have their space in the kitchen, so they know where they stand in the household which makes for a much cleaner house LOL.

AJ is amazing!  He is waving hello and rolling all over.  He got on his hands and knees yesterday and rocked!  I was so excited!  Soon he will be crawling!  I better get on to baby proofing the house a little more :).  He is such a good baby though, he definately knows the word no!

Kyle, my baby boy!  He loves his sports, ready for baseball season.  I swear if he mentions it one more time I am going to have to build an indoor stadium in my side yard soon!  He is so precious.  He helped me cook yesterday and even folded and put his clothes away!  I better enjoy it while it lasts, god knows he will be a teenager soon enough.

Ok so on to my liz.  She was showering yesterday to get ready for the Orthodontist appt. to get her braces put on.  I hear this HUGE scream.  Run upstairs, she is in the shower in a ball, Broke her arm after slipping on a rubber duckie in the shower.  My poor baby!  So, knowing that the ER wasnt about to do anything besides splint it until I got her to the Ortho, I splinted it with ice.  We went to get her braces on which took 3 hours! Then off to our Family doc.  Fracture all the way through the Radial bone in the forearm, left arm (she's a lefty :( which is gonna be rough).  The bone is not displaced, it is borderline hairline fracture, but the Ortho will re-xray it on Monday.  So for now she has a temp. cast on with a ACE bandage.  Needless to say my baby girl is hurtin.  She is going to try to go to school today, we will see.

Whew, Long entry.  sorry.

One more thing.

We are so amazingly blessed to have such wonderful, supportive friends and family.  Unfortunately, My father has decided to take things in the other direction and judge me and my family about things that are really silly and petty.  I suppose you learn that there are TRUE friends and loved ones that love you no matter what and forgive if you screw up once in a while.  God knows none of us are perfect.  I just pray that he finds some gleam in his heart someday to love wholeheartedly without judgement or accusation.  It is so sad.  I love him dearly, but our family has the strength of eachother and our many dear friends that keep us going every day.  WE LOVE ALL OF YOU FOR THAT!!!

GOD BLESS!  Please email and let us know how you are doing as well!

Love, Jim and Janet and the kiddos.

Some sweet pictures of the family and some neat icons and fun stuff off the web!  Boy is it hard to raise a teenage girl!   She never ceases to amaze me how well she handles different situations.  She makes me so proud.  I must be doing something right, with guidance from god, things are doing just fine.  Kyle is so busy all the time.  I am wondering if he is ADHD or not, but I hate that title, I just don't want to deny it and cause him to suffer.  He has trouble sitting still and focusing on anything.  This new year I am going to address this, just in case.  His teachers have recommended it over and over, I suppose it is time.  Jim is going for an MRI on his right knee today.  The pain is just too much.  The doctor thinks it may be a meniscus problem.  We will see.  His moods are up and down (go figure).  I spent my 4 days off doing "winter/spring" cleaning.  The dogs are now secluded to the kitchen and are dealing with it ok i guess.  They look at us like, "hey, ummm remember us?".  But I want AJ to be able to roll around without being loved to death by the pupps.

Anyway, Hope all is well.  LOVE,

Jim, Janet and the rest of the clan

The Steelers have been in playoff mode for a month. Yesterday they were finally rewarded with a postseason berth. Pittsburgh needed a win over the Lions to clinch the final spot in the AFC, and Jerome Bettis made sure it happened. In what might have been his final game at Heinz Field, the 33-year-old running back scored three times in a 35-21 victory. It was the Steelers' fourth straight win, and it sets up a terrific wild-card game this Sunday (CBS, 4:30 p.m. ET) between Pittsburgh (11-5) and the division-rival Bengals (11-5). The other AFC wild-card game is also a dandy: The Jaguars (12-4) will play at the Patriots (10-6) on Saturday (ABC, 8 p.m. ET). Like the Steelers, the Redskins needed to win yesterday to earn a postseason berth; Clinton Portis ran for 112 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-20 victory over the Eagles to ! send Washington to the playoffs for the first time since 1999. The Skins play the Buccaneers (11-5) in an NFC wild-card game on Saturday (ABC, 4:30 p.m. ET), while the Panthers visit the Giants on Sunday (Fox, 1 p.m. ET). Can the Steelers keep it up? No sixth-seeded team has made it to a conference championship game under the NFL's present playoff format. Then again, the league has likely never seen a No. 6 seed as good as Pittsburgh.  Please leave us some comments we just love to read.
